Here I am at 2 weeks of age. This picture was taken at our house in Essex.

daveinstroller3months.jpg (5490 bytes) Mr. Personality -- July 1953

Here I am at 3 months or so.  Mom said the smile was pretty much my attitude back then.  What did I have to complain about?

dadholddaveessex.jpg (5427 bytes) The Essex Depot as Nursery

Dad is holding me outside his depot at Essex. He was agent from 1947-56.  If you look real close, you will see that the smile is gone here.  Perhaps it was the smell of Creosote I didn't like.

The 1954 Essex version of a one-stop shopping center. It smelled of fragrant cigars.

fordinthesnow.jpg (8287 bytes) Digging Out, Winter, 1955.

Early in '55, I am digging our 1950 Ford out of the snow.
I still drive a Ford. I not long ago had to dig one out of a Montana Snowbank.
So, have I really made any progress?

Here is a navigation link to an album of my son, who is named Ordway, after Dad.

Adyn and Josh Sonju, New Year's Eve 2005-2006.

Here's a photo of my daughter, Adyn, and her husband Josh at a New Year's Charity Ball in their home town of Choteau, Montana.  They have two children: Schyler, 10; and Shae, 7.  More about the Sonjus here!
