KiDSACT: Recreational Programs

KiDSACT is a DSACT group for children with Down syndrome between the ages of 6-12 years and their siblings.


2018 SUMMER Session Recreational Programs

Registration is required for any individual to participate in DSACT programs. To register, click on the SUMMER REGISTRATION button to the right of the page.


Class: YMCA Swim

Location: YMCA TownLake
1100 W Cesar Chavez; Austin, TX 78703
Dates: Saturdays; June 9 - August 4, 2018
Times available: 30-minute session slots from 12:00-2:00pm (times are assigned by participant age and cannot be changed)
Ages: 3+ years
An additional $35.00 fee is required for all participants.

If you are interested in signing up for swim classes, please complete the Summer DSACT YMCA Swim Spot Holder. Unfortunately, siblings cannot participate in swim classes.


Class: Warrior Storm Martial Arts Austin Location

Location: Town Lake YMCA (AMP Room)

Dates: July 23 - July 27, 2018 (this is a 5-day mini-camp format for summer)
Time: 2:00-3:00pm each day from July 23-27
Ages: 6+ years old

 

Class: Warrior Storm Martial Arts Round Rock Location

Location: Brushy Creek Community Center

Dates: June 18 - June 22, 2018 (this is a 5-day mini-camp format for summer)
Time: 2:00-3:00pm each day from June 18-22
Ages: 6+ years old     


Class: Performing Arts and Behind-the-Scenes Production

Location: Imagine Arts

Dates: June 25 - June 29, 2018 (this is a 5-day mini-camp format for summer)
Time: 9:30am-1:00pm each day from June 25-29
Ages: 8+ years old

Note: Kidsacting Foundation offers opportunities for those who prefer behind-the-scenes roles rather than being onstage. These include set design, lighting, and creating props. All students are asked to participate in warm-up and goodbye activities.
