Foodie Kids Cooking Program
Ages 6 - 12 Years
Cook-up some fun with Foodie Kids hands-on cooking classes. Students will prepare 1-2 recipes utilizing fresh seasonal produce and hearty whole grains to create healthy entrees, wholesome snacks and fresh fruit drinks. Children have the opportunity to sample what is prepared in class or take it home to share. Recipes included.
- 12 students max for class
*Due to class popularity and limited space, priority will be given to individuals with Down syndrome, if space allows registered siblings may attend.
- 1-2 recipes per class
- recipes will be provided for the entire month at the beginning of each month
- homework assignments may be assigned to get participants comfortable with recipes and directions
- Foodie Kids will provide occasional vocabulary sheets focusing on:
- kitchen materials
- food items
- cooking techniques
