Teen and Adult Recreational Programs

The Teen Group is a DSACT group for teens with Down syndrome between the ages of 13-20. 

Our Adult group is for individuals with Down syndrome age 18 and up.

Note: This summer, the Warrior Storm program will be offered in Round Rock only. This is a 5-day camp opportunity. Regular weekly programming, at both Town Lake and Brushy Creek will return for the Fall session.

Partner Programs

Arc of the Arts

We are very pleased to collaborate with The Arc of the Capital Area to offer our members an opportunity to participate in a wonderful fine arts program called, “Arc of the Arts”.

This program is for students with intellectual disabilities. Classes must be arranged with the program director of the Arc of the Arts Studio in advance. Please contact the Program Manager, Jerry Slayton at (512) 476-7044 or by email at jslayton@arcofthecapitalarea.org to complete an application and begin the admission process. Once signed up, DSACT will pay for ONE class per month for our members and the remaining classes must be paid for individually.

UT Informal Classes

UT's Informal Classes, aimed at Adults with IDDS, offer semester long continued educational opportunities at the University of Texas at Austin for Adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. This program aims to promote affordable life-long learning for adults with intellectual disabilities while providing an opportunity to connect socially with adult peers with and without intellectual disabilities on the University of Texas campus. Courses are offered through UT's informal classes program.
